Klubnacht

At this edition of Klubnacht, Maruwa will make her Panorama Bar debut. Originally trained in classical piano and now based in Frankfurt, she has made a name for herself in recent years with releases on labels such as X-Kalay and Steel City Dance Discs. Her sound pays homage to the house and techno of the late 90s and early 00s, a style she has cultivated during her residency at Robert Johnson in Offenbach. Joining her tonight is Hunee: having grown up in Amsterdam and Berlin, this wildly acclaimed DJ plays musically sophisticated sets in which soul, Afrobeat, early Chicago house and disco flow organically into one another. At Berghain, Banu – a DJ originally from Istanbul who lives in Berlin – presents an aesthetic shaped by new wave, post-punk and darkwave. She is a resident DJ at Refuge Worldwide and a fellow of the Electric Desert producer residency in Namibia. DJ MARIA was born in Osaka and is one of the defining figures of the Japanese deep and psychedelic techno scene. Her sets are always a treat, marked by highly precise sound design that works with hypnotic, polyrhythmic grooves and extends far beyond classic peak-time patterns.
