Klubnacht

This weekend's Klubnacht features a joint live performance by Tobias. and Doltz aka Shun Watanabe. Although the Japanese DJ/producer began his musical career in the late 90s as the drummer in a punk band, Doltz has become known for a precise, organic sound – somewhere between deep ambient and meditative techno – as well as his collaboration with DJ Nobu. On their second joint album, Frontiers of Science, recently released on Delsin, Tobias Freund and Watanabe revive the experimental spirit of early 00s glitch techno with the hum of digital atmospheres and delicate micropulses. Dutch DJ/producer Delta Funktionen also began his musical career on Delsin. His cinematic soundscapes are deeply rooted in classic Detroit techno, electro and IDM. On the Panorama Bar slate is Yuzo Iwata, who grew up in Sapporo and Berlin – a seasoned expert at Sound Metaphors known for his eclectic approach with psychedelic nuances.
