Since the late 90s, Ashley Burchett aka Ø [Phase] has been a reliable fixture in the British techno scene. His early days as a mastering engineer at Sony Music London continue to resonate in the sonic precision of his productions, which form a complex, layered tapestry of rhythm and texture. From the very beginning, Burchett has embraced a cool, clinical sci-fi aesthetic, whether during his many years as one of Token Records’ most noteworthy and most-played artists or on his own label Modwerks, where he has primarily released his work in recent years. Ø [Phase] will perform live at Berghain tonight. At Panorama Bar, Miss Honey Dijon is celebrating the release of her third album The Nightlife, out the day before the party. Ranging from sweaty basement energy to lucid soul influences, the production defies a purely functional house categorization. Rather, Honey crafts a sonic topography of the night: fluid, polyphonic and in constant dialogue with an all-star guest ensemble. Or as she herself puts it, a “love letter to the dancefloor.”
