TWR72 is the epitome of uncompromising, precisely produced techno focusing on propulsive rhythms and minimalist structures. Originally founded as a duo in Amsterdam, the project has evolved over the years into a solo project by Roger van der Zwan. After more than twenty 12” releases, his debut album iOi was released last year, which Hardwax rated as ”fresh, highly effective techno tools". TWR72 is playing at Berghain tonight. As part of his Life of Leisure tour, American house artist Claude VonStroke is returning to the Panorama Bar for the first time in years. VonStroke rose to meteoric heights in the mid 00s as a DJ, hitmaker and owner of the Dirtybird label. His style, marked by big basslines and catchy vocals, helped to establish a distinctive sound that caught on internationally. VonStroke sold his label three years ago and now only plays where he really wants to play – with a sound he describes as “darker and more sophisticated”.
