- NowCaspar Brötzmann Bass Totem Live
In celebration of their first live show and album in over a decade, CTM presents a special performance by Khanate of their new album 𝘛𝘰 𝘉𝘦 𝘊𝘳𝘶𝘦𝘭, out now on Sacred Bones. Comprised of James Plotkin, Stephen O’Malley, Alan Dubin and Tim Wyskida, the cramped corner of hell that Khanate takes the listener to, sonically and psychologically, has almost nothing in common with the doom bands that populate stoner-oriented music festivals across the globe. Khanate is doom as a foregone conclusion, as merciless atmospheric pressure, as a blunt object to crack you over the skull with, slowly, repeatedly, and forever.
Opening the night will be Caspar Brötzmann, one of the most unique and innovative guitarists of the last forty years. With his Berlin-based trio Massaker, he evolved a whole new autonomous approach to writing songs, building from sounds once widely considered ornamental if not detrimental sonic waste such as shrieking feedback and droning overtones. Expect ultra-heavy riffs, unhinged beats, ominous chants, and raw physical force.
Admission 18+ / Pleaase respect the no-photo/no-video policy.
