Ireen Amnes is a DJ, producer and founder of London-based non-profit experimental collective Under My Feet, which operates musically between ambient, noise and industrial and defines itself as politically left-wing. Her debut album In The Land Of Silence, released last year, shows her as a strong producer with nuance and great dynamism in the wide field of beatless electronics. Even though her tonality is predominantly sombre, she has a great sense for sublime melodies and narrative composition. Sorcery is the project of Canadian artist, drummer and percussionist Merlin Ettore. His music, like the recently released EP Mirrors Of Perception on Bedouin Records, brings together organic and synthetic sound material in a very unique way: aggressive, demanding, polyrhythmic and with ever-surprising twists. Ireen Amnes and Sorcery are playing live at Hangout in the Garden today, rounded off with a DJ set by American producer and Pendulum Recordings founder Ciarra Black.
