KOMETENMELODIEN 8: JOSIAH WOLF (WHY?) & LIZ WOLF

Bereits im letzten Jahr, mit der Veröffentlichung seiner Debüt-LP »Jet Lag« auf Anticon, gelang es Josiah Wolf mit innovativem Folk und psychedelischem Pop aus dem Schatten seiner Band Why? zu treten. Live wird er dieser Tage begleitet von seiner Frau Liz Hodson, deren lieblicher Gesang nicht wenige an Mazzy Stars Hope Sandoval erinnert. Das Duo bedient auf der Bühne eine ganze Armada von Musikinstrumenten, sodass sich ein vielschichtiger, voller Sound entwickelt.  Zur Zeit arbeiten sie, nach der Veröffentlichung einer EP, die aus Coverversionen von Stücken Nirvanas, Bill Withers' und Nick Drakes bestand, an ihrer ersten gemeinsamen LP. Joining live on stage these days is his wife Liz Hodson, her sweet vocals recalls Hope Sandoval (Mazzy Star). The duo uses a vast number of music instruments on stage, which leads to a very rich, multilayered sound. Following up on the release of a cover EP with takes on Nirvana, Bill Withers and Nick Drake, Josiah & Liz Wolf are now working on their joint album.
