Narkotisch-hypnotische Musik für Schlafwandler: Mit Pure X und Sleep ∞ Over zeigt die Konzertreihe »Kometenmelodien« in der Kantine am Berghain zwei der interessantesten Vertreter zeitgenössischer und gleichzeitig zeitloser amerikanischer Popmusik, bei denen Uneindeutigkeit im musikalischen Ausdruck, Echo, Hall, Schlieren, Verzerrungen und schließlich unverständlicher Gesang, an erster Stelle steht. Für Pure X stehen Gitarren im Vordergrund, der Sound ist organisch, bei Stefanie Francinottis Projekt Sleep ∞ Over wiederum eher synthetisch.
