Das von beiden Küsten Long Islands stammende Quintett um die Sängerin Andrea Estella spielt feinen, zeitlosen, melancholisch-romantischen Pop, der an Stereolab oder die Cocteau Twens erinnert. Auf ihrer Website finden sich mehr als 100 Songs, die sie vor ihrem Album aufgenommen haben. Die Beschäftigung mit ihnen ist lohnenswert, zeigt sich doch, wie das Fokussieren auf eine Veröffentlichung die Spreu vom Weizen trennt. So finden sich, man muss es so sagen, die besten Songs der Band tatsächlich auf »In Heaven«, das dieser Tage erschienen ist. In Berlin spielt die Band zum ersten Mal. Ihr zweites Album »New Masses for Squaw Peak« ist vollgestopft mit Experimentellem: Jazz-Akkorde und Todes-Pop, raffiniertem Proto-Prog, altertümlichen und persönlichen Mythen, die sich durch das Ganze ziehen.
